Dan Evans
Since the completion of Season 5, Dan Evans has traveled the country inspiring others through his passion for his music, but he still prioritizes his health and spent some time at the Resort renewing his dedication to fitness. He immediately realized he was in a safe place, far from temptations with trainers that truly care. With so many in the same situation, it was clear that everyone has their own struggle. Hear about his experience and why he knows it is possible to conquer the seemingly unconquerable.
Max Morelli
After Max's claim to fame on the Biggest Loser Season 7, seeing his father and brother's life changing transformations through his tears, he realized it was a wake-up call to make changes in his own life. Max spent an entire summer at the Resort, losing 94 pounds and returning to his last year of high school with a renewed sense of confidence. "Losing the weight gave me a new life," said Max, who returned to the Resort for another 5 weeks visit which resulted in a loss of 39 pounds. "The trainers are awesome and push you as far as you can go. I'm more outgoing now. I'll accept challenges as they come and I'm going to push myself through it."
Bernie Salazar
Bernie came to the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge to revisit himself. Integrating his weight loss success into real life after the show was a different kind of obstacle. The desire to continue improving his health is fueled by Bernie's desire to enjoy more of his life. "The knowledge has been a key component in making sure I feel confident in taking this experience back to my real life. That's exactly what I was looking for and that's exactly what I got."
Heba Salama
Heba's commitment to staying healthy after the Biggest Loser show led her and her husband to begin racing. "My husband and I thought gyms were monotonous so we started racing. Being around the trainers here has pushed and motivated me. The good energy I feel here has helped me rediscover that I could do anything." Heba's visit resulted in more than increased endurance - it resulted in new friendships and a reminder that nothing is more important than being healthy.
Michael Ventrella
Season 9 Biggest Loser, Michael Ventrella has been setting new records for himself - and he's happy to share that anyone can come to the Resort and get the same results, if not better. Michael's experience at the Resort served as a reminder that even when working out doesn't sound fun, the feeling afterward is amazing and completely worth it. "You come here for you."
Sam Poueu
After the finale, Sam was wondering, "What now?" He was still finding his way and still felt like a work in progress. "I know how to use my athletic abilities to lose weight but sometimes I'm just not feeling it. That's the beauty of Fitness Ridge. There are all sorts of classes - pool, gym, circuit, combat cardio and kickboxing." Sam was impressed with the accountability aspect as well - ensuring that all guests show up and give each activity their best. "I need to pursue everything that I want to." Sam will share that enthusiasm with Fitness Ridge guests as he embraces his new role working with the Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge Malibu.
Koli Palu
Transitioning from final four in Biggest Loser Season 9 to life was like going from 100 miles per hour to a walking pace for Koli - and it was tough. Adjusting to living a normal life, eating to maintain health was also a tough adjustment. "Winning or losing wasn't a big deal as long as I strived for perfection - I wasn't afraid of failure, I was afraid of success," explained Koli, as he reflected on his TV experience. Spending time at the Biggest Loser Resort was a different kind of experience, "It really is a resort here - it's nice. The classes are all there for you but there are different levels." With this nutritional program, Koli can also teach his football team healthier habits and pay it forward.
Erik Chopin
Erik Chopin, determined to regain control of his life, enjoyed a two week stay at The Biggest Loser Resort at Fitness Ridge in January, where he lost over 20 pounds. Erik returned home where he continued his fitness routine and balanced nutrition for two months before returning to The Resort for five weeks before his spotlight The Biggest Loser Live Television Finale on May 25th. His journey inspired a new direction and a deeper commitment to helping others.
Seth Word
Biggest Loser Season 2 runner-up Seth Word spent several weeks at The Resort, committing to a fitness regimen similar to the Biggest Loser Ranch, where he famously lost 123 pounds and was second to winner Matt Hoover. Seth shares his 4-week jump start at The Resort, including getting back "into the zone", connecting with trainers that remind him of Bob and Jillian, and his ability to conquer his weight-loss.
Tara Costa
Tara Costa, Season 7 Biggest Loser runner-up visited The Resort to continue her weight loss journey and jump start her triathlon training. Watch her hiking, working out, and sharing comments about her experience. Tara says it best with "every journey starts with a single step".
Ephraim Salaam
NFL veteran player Ephraim Salaam spent 2-weeks at The Resort in February, 2010 with his wife, Renece, where they both experienced a workout routine like no other. Ephraim welcomed a different regimen, and Renece, a former back-up dancer to Beyoncé, enjoyed the structured, results-oriented program.
