AMANDA FITZ – Social Media Marketing Coordinator, Biggest Loser Resorts

From a young age Amanda has always had a passion for physical fitness. On a dance scholarship throughout her formative years she grew accustomed to spending long hours on her feet – always moving. It was upon completion of Graduating from San Diego State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, that her passion for health and fitness ignited. It was then when Amanda auditioned to be a Charger Cheerleader for The National Football League’s (NFL’s) San Diego Chargers. Being on a professional dance team opened her eyes to what it meant to eat and live healthy. From there she went on to become a publicist in the entertainment industry working with film studios and television networks to develop publicity strategies for celebrity talent. But her career was lacking her passion for health & wellness.

“Working as the Social Media Marketing Coordinator for BLR Malibu is a dream job for me because I get to combine my passion for health & fitness while utilizing my business degree and media experience” Amanda exclaims. Her genuine compassion for others’ well being makes Amanda a great addition to our staff. She’s dedicated to The Biggest Loser Resort family, and supporting our guests long after their departure from our Resort.

After months of sweat, tears, pain, and a lot of hard work, both Sione and Filipe each lost over 130 pounds. They were healthier, in-shape and motivated to live healthier lives.

Since, Filipe has regained all the weight he had lost and has teamed back up with Sione and Walgreens 'Way to Well' in a mission to lose weight and get back on track to living a healthy life.

Grilled Steak Salad
Serves 3

Ingredients:

4 cups Spring mix
1 cup Daikon sprouts
½ cup grape tomatoes, sliced
½ cup bell pepper rings
½ cup carrots, chopped
3 T. Pecans, chopped
½ cup quinoa, cooked
9 ounces, Sirloin, grilled and sliced
1 ounce blue cheese
6 ounces Farm house dressing
