The mission of the American Diabetes Association is:

To help us work toward a future without the threat of diabetes, we have put the power of our organizational brand behind an aggressive and exciting cause brand — Stop Diabetes®.

The purpose of Stop Diabetes is more than raising awareness. It is to build a movement
to Stop Diabetes in every conceivable way. Stop it from controlling the lives of those
who have it. Stop the toll it takes on the body. Stop (and reverse) the incidence. Stop it from existing by finding a cure.

Like all movements, Stop Diabetes® is built around a simple yet audacious idea — to deprive diabetes of its ability to diminish, complicate and shorten life.
